Teach Online!

Daymar College continually seeks qualified professionals to teach online classes. Join our team and become a positive influence to our students!

Minimum Requirements
The minimum requirements for teaching at Daymar College vary somewhat depending on the class and discipline in which you teach. In general, classes require an instructor with a Master's degree and 18 credits in the field being taught. For some classes, we do require that the instructors hold a valid certification in the field such as billing and coding. If you have questions concerning the requirements in your teaching field, please contact the Online campus via email for more information.

Process
In order to teach online for Daymar College, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Contact the Online campus via email to let us know of your interest. Please attach a resume or vita in your message to let us know what you may be interested in teaching. We will also need a copy of your college transcripts. However, you do not need to provide official copies of your transcripts until you are actually hired for a teaching position. Official transcripts are helpful, but to start the process you may send whatever unofficial copies you have available.
  2. We are on the quarter system and also have a mid-start during each quarter, so we routinely have opportunities for new qualified instructors. We are currently accepting resumes for the following areas:
    • Accounting
    • Billing and Coding
    • Medical Assisting – Administrative
    • Criminal Justice
    • Business Administration Technology
    • Business Management
  3. Before hiring you as an instructor, we will look at your online teaching credentials. We are interested to know if you have used WebCT at other colleges, used any other learning management systems such as Blackboard or eCollege, and have completed courses or training in online teaching methods.

Faculty Training
Before you can teach for Daymar College – Online, you must provide evidence of satisfactory completion of an online faculty training course. Upon the decision to hire you, we will enroll you in a course on WebCT that must be completed.
